Netball Europe International and Open Championships

The best seat in the House!

Following from her International officiating at Trinidad & Tobago, ITID umpire Nadine Pardo-Zammit has been appointed to umpire in the Netball Europe International and Open Championships.

This competition is to be held in Cardiff on 5 – 8 October. With a great team line up from England ranked 3rd, Wales 7th, Fiji 8th, Northern Ireland 10th and Scotland 12th in the World, Nadine is sure to be kept active during the tournament.

There is a lot of pre-tournament mental and physical preparation for Nadine to be able to perform at her best. This means being consistent, knowledgeable, professional, ethical and unified. The fast pace of these games demands for quick decisions. This is managed by spotting the first contact, understanding the difference between ‘contact’ and ‘contesting’ the ball, applying good hand signals and remaining focussed throughout the game.

As an umpire you have the best seat in the house at every game! Gibraltar Netball is thrilled to see this exciting opportunity for Nadine in her umpiring career.
