GFA ‘Pepe Reyes’ Cup

A solitary second half goal by Ian ‘Dude’ Rodriguez was enough to earn Lincoln Red Imps first silverware of the season.

Under new management this season and with some new faces on the squad Lincoln looked to start of the 2014/2015 campaign as they finished and so they did.

A very evenly contested game was seen with both teams not giving many chances and fighting very had in defence and not conceding many chances to test the keepers and so going to the interval with a 0-0 result.

The second half started with more of the same with both teams canceling each other out, until a couple of rebounds following a Lincoln corner fell to Ian Rodriguez who made no mistake and pushed it past Manchester 62 keeper Kevin De Los Santos.

From then on the match livened up a bit with both managers making some changes and Manchester  looking for that equaliser that never came.

So in the end of the 90 minutes plus stoppage time the 1-0 result stood and Lincoln claimed the silverware at stake.
